Make a Memory in Summer 2009

The summer time at the Bed and Breakfast is a time to make wonderful memories. And the Village of Lewiston and the surrounding communities are ready to help. Both the Artpark performance schedules and the Lewiston Council of the Arts have memory making events throughout the summer of ‘09. Visit Artpark (www.artpark.net.) to check it out the concerts and plays; music from Ani DeFranco, or the Buffalo Philharmonic, to the Lehrerdance contemporary dance company or the musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Also, see the Lewiston Arts Council (www.artscouncil.org) for their free concert at the gazebo and the Lewiston Jazz Project in Academy Park series as well.

We always are busy for the Fourth of July and this year is no exception. Old Fort Niagara has and entire summer of history to share. This year, 2009, is the 250th anniversary of the siege of Fort Niagara during the French and Indian War. Special daily programs (June 20 - August 31) enable visitors to experience firsthand the events of 1759. From July 3^rd to July 5^th, reenactors recreate a French and Indian War encampment and commemorates 250 years of occupation at Fort Niagara.

August 8^th and 9^th brings us the Lewiston Art Festival. See (and purchase) works of art from more than 170 accomplished artisans of many disciplines; something for everyone to be sure. Check the event schedule to find out when it can be your turn to be creative with the help of Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University sponsored Make and Take workshops.     AND THERE IS MORE COMING SOON!!

Relax all evening; Start the day with a full breakfast

We've found that the simpler down home breakfast items are in greater demand than the gourmet items. The most requested item is by far, Sunny's scones; blueberry, cranberry-orange, or pecan praline. Sunny makes the scones fresh every morning. Add homemade orange-honey butter to fresh baked scones warm from the oven. Send us an email and we'll share the recipe.

Breakfast at Sunny's Roost is served in our large dining room. We've decided to create a menu to help spark your breakfast appetite. You can choose from any of the following or ask if we can make something special if these suggestions make you remember another taste you want to experience:
